* * * * * * * * * * * * * DEAGLE CUP MAPS * * * * * * * * * * * * * By Rokusho Rokusho39@Hotmail.com www.sourcejunky.com This trio of maps was developed for the Source Junky Deagle Tourney Everything is BSPZipped as always, no need to DL anything extra. DeagleCup_Map1 Max Players: 12 Build Time: 4 hours Compile Time: 2 minutes, 35 seconds Average FPS: 195 de_dust2 Average FPS: 92 A very simple map, with plenty of cover and options. Big enough to have plenty of fun with 12 players, small enough for 2 to get into tense battles. Mainly designed to have an industrial feel to it, prop limit low to maintain good FPS. Very exciting map to play. DeagleCup_Map2 Max Players: 12 Build Time: 2.5 hours Compile Time: 1 minute, 34 seconds Average FPS: 182 de_dust2 Average FPS: 92 After doing a rather industrial based map, it only seemed natural to make one with a more natural feel to it. The size is larger than the first map and has a slightly higher level of detail (mainly from the displacements), but the FPS don't suffer too much. Long range accuracy and use of cover will win this map. DeagleCup_Map3 Max Players: 12 Build Time: 8 hours Compile TIme: 2 minutes, 58 seconds Average FPS: 135 de_dust2 Average FPS: 92 As this was the third map, one that was only meant to be played in case of a draw between the other two maps, meant I could do something a little different. Instead of focusing entirly on a single indoor area, or an entire outdoor area, I decided to include both. This also meant the map had a combination fo close-quarters action and some longer range oppertunities. This map also uses the 3D skybox.

Thank you for building some really nice looking deagle maps. The gaming community I am in have a deagle tournament (2vs2) at each LAN (twice per year) and we always struggle to find good maps. The latest LAN we used deaglecup_map 1 and 2 for the tournament and they were very well received. Now we even have a 24/7 deagle server and these three maps are on the rotation.

Map 1: My definite favorite among the three. The lighting is very nice. The layout and design is great. Not too big and not too small. Good with the different levels of the map and plenty of boxes/structures for interesting angles and both long range and close combat.

Map 2: Outdoor map that looks very nice with good looking displacements. What I don't like about this map is that the only way to the spawn hill is the ramp. It would have been great to be able to jump onto boxes to reach that area. Still it is a fun map but I think the other two are better.

Map 3: This map looks really good as well. The "separate room" in the middle adds a lot to the game play. I think this map has a nice design and usually matches end quickly on it. It is very intense imho.

I hope you plan to build more maps like these. It could definitely fill the void in the deagle map section. At the moment most of the maps there are not that good. They look like someone have based their map on a first map tutorial and thrown in some boxes ...

My favorite is the 3rd one even though its the tie breaker. Would have liked to see less boxes as cover in all 3 but mostly in 3 and the pillars should have been a little more detailed. They just seem to simple. Wider base maybe.

1 was the one i liked next. The walls just looked slick. It would be nice if you didn't hit your head on nothing when you jump off the large slanted pillars.

3 still looks good just the one I liked the least. I say more leaves on the ground.

    good job 10/10.

Oh wow, very nicely done Rokusho. You spent a fair well amount of time on each of these great maps, and they all turned out 10/10 in my book. Very nice work, 100/10. :D

All of these maps look significantly well-done. I can say that they don't look bad at all.

    Wonderful job.
