Detail: Okay, there
isnt much detail in this map at all, i can see you use the sort of style surf_matrix
has but in my opinion that map isnt all that good.
You are very experimental, using textures that usually clash or generally dont
go together but it actually looked okay. Since you didnt add detail to the list
i cant rate you on this but i would say in your future maps to add more detail.
It allways makes people want to download the map when your screenshots show lots
of effort.
Ambience: Okay, since you didnt really add lighting
i think ambience was the wrong one to use really but...
i actually liked some of the effects you used.
Like the jail teleporter had a glowing and a fading effect, that was quite nice
and the slight shine on your wall textures was nice too,
but i must add.. Fullbright maps usually look ugly or have a wierd feeling to
them. Try adding a few lights but remeber if you add only a few in one room
the rest of your map will go dark.
Ambeince Rate: 4/10
Fun: After about 10 minutes of gameplay on this
map i started to realise how fun to surf it was, it wasnt to cramped or niether
did it have too much space.
I spent overall about 40 minutes just playing around on create a server.
This map is actually quite fun but as i will talk about next there are a few
flaws which if fixed could make this map gain a higher rating.(I can help you
with that.)
The secret room was quite fun and unusual in a surf map but it was definetly
quite special.
Fun rating: 8/10
Gameplay: First of all i would like to point out
that in jail the crates move about when shot, so if i just miss abit and hit
the crate instead of the person, the crate goes shooting allover the place..
Also by using the corners of the crates you can jump up and you get shot into
the top of jail. This is actually a good idea but it makes the rounds long beacuse
people get into jail and escape almost imediantly.
If you are going to keep the crates and the way you can use them to get up,
i suggest you take the guns out at the top of jail.
Gameplay rate: 6/10
If you take a few of the things i have mentioned into account and make some
changes i would say this map would be a popular map.
Thanks for sharing.
