Yo,
I came up with this after literally about an hour of attempting it. This is the best thing I found, so I thought, why keep it to myself? :) (I did this whole thing in PhotoShop 6 so most of you who are interested in skinning I'm sure have that or a higher version of PS)
Make a new document, 500x500 pixels and fill it with white. (Screenshot A)Making sure your foreground and background colours are set to black and white (doesn\'t matter which one is set to black and which one to white) goto Filter, Render, Clouds. Now you should have something that looks a bit like Screenshot B. (Remember yours won\'t look exactly the same as the clouds are randomly generated each time)Next, goto Filter, Artistic, Sponge and use the following settings: (Shown in Screenshot C)
Brush Size: 8 Definition: 25 Smoothness: 1
Click OK and you should have something that looks a bit like Screenshot D. Now it\'s starting to look like CADPAT!
Now, goto Image, Image Size and change only the width and height in the \'Pixel Dimensions\' box to 1200x1200 pixels. This is shown in Screenshot D. Click Ok and you should now have what looks like a good CADPAT Pattern! (I can\'t post a screenshot of how it should look after resizing it due to the fact that the file would be too big, but you can\'t really go wrong on the image resizing) ;)Lastly, to the give camouflage some colour, goto Image, Adjust, Hue/Saturation (Or press CTRL+U). Now you can muck around with it how you want to give you any sort of decent camouflage, but we\'ll just do desert for now. (To make this work in any way you first have to press the \'Colorize\' button in the bottom right-hand side of the box.) So a good one for desert I think is of the following settings (shown in Screenshot E):
Hue: 54 Saturation: 24 Lightness: -28
- And finally, you should have an OK CADPAT camouflage pattern like the one in Screenshot F.
Hope you got something useful out of this. :)
