fantastic tutorial, thanks!!1
Really helpful post thanks! Definately gonna incorporate this into one or two of my maps! Great stuff!
Pros: Very informative Cons: none Notes: Thanks!

Pros: Very nice and readable, worked fine on my first map Notes: On orange and dev_xxx maps the "easy" is mostly better then the more difficult one
If you only select one surface and turn it into a displacement, the rest of the brush is removed. Instead of selecting the one surface, select the entire brush (effectively selecting all of the surfaces) then turn the entire brush into a displacement. This works for me, though sometimes a surface you are not trying to edit ends up changed.
Otherwise, you can make a duplicate of the original brush directly over the original, select the face you want to displace, and go from there, trying to keep all the edges lined up.
Same 'xact thing.
This is truly a good tutorial. Good work. I used this a long time ago. Well now I came across it again, I am using it for my mod. Where the city gets destroyed. It is really easy to do. Good work.
