Tutorial to Garry's Mod

Part 1 1A Add-On's 2A Misc Custom Content 3A Errors

Part 2 1B Tool Gun 2B Thrusters / Hoverballs 3B Weight 4B Buoyancy

Part 3 1C Explosives 2C Traps Coming Soon! 3C Bombs Coming Soon!

Part 1
1A. Add-On's
You will need Add-On's for certain things and certain servers. www.Garrysmod.org will supply your needs. You will especially need these addons: Wire Mod,PHX Models.
2A. Misc Custom Content
For skins and models you can get at www.garrysmod.org. However more skins can be found at FPSB GMod Skins
3A. Errors
You can get an error sign in the middle of a map that blinks in red when you are missing the model. If you are missing the texture it will have the shape but it will be colored in purple and black squares. LUA Errors will be in your console if one occurs, you should see it in the corner of your screen as well. You can't fix this unless you delete the LUA file because it's attempting to activate something or the add-on is broken. Model errors can't be fixed. It just means you don't have it. The missing texture means you just need to add it.

Part 2

2A. Tool Gun
Your tool gun will be your use for everything, to weight, balloons, even spawning certain entities. Left click usually adds the entity and right click usually removes it. Such as the color tool. Left click to change right click to set to default. See 2B and 3B for more information.
2B. Thrusters / Hoverballs
Thrusters and hoverballs have a similiar use, they can make things fly. Thrusters can also be used to make a car faster. To make a car faster with a thruster, you can attach them to the back and set how much force you want to add. Set it to toggle, turn it on, Get in your vehicle and start driving! It's gonna be a bumpy ride! Now let's make an example on how to make something fly with a hoverball. Put a hoverball on an item, such as an airboat on the back. Put a low amount of strength and a low amount of resistance (Do not set it to 0!). Now press the button you assigned it to on your numberpad. If it doesn't float try adding more strength. 2 Should be enough. If you add too much it will shoot into the sky. Thrusters can be used to make things fly too.. but it will make the object shoot into the sky like a rocket. Which can be ideal for PHX's bombs and missiles.
3B. Weight
Now of course, the lighter something is the easier something will be to make it fly or move. If it is too heavy it will stay completely still or take longer to move. Use the weight tool to make something lighter if you want to make it faster, heavier to make it slower. If it's too light it might just get bugged and kill you and it will get stuck in the sky.
4B. Bouyancy
This tool makes things float. Simple as spawn & Apply. Set it to 100 and you'll have it perfectly floating.

Part 3

1C. Explosives
Your basic explosives are Oil drum & Dynamite Now Dynamite you can set to a key to explode. However, Unlike Oil drums you can't shoot to destroy them and unlike dynamite something needs to destroy the oil drum for it to explode. It's Easy to attach one of these babies, but be careful! A false move could make the drum explode into little shreds that can destroy some objects! Dynamite is a much safer approach but needs to be manually detonated or wired. Using Oil Drums: I would suggest (as it being the easier route) adding a turret nearby to shoot it and make it go off- However, if you want to not get caught before the bullet you can build a contraption that will crush the oildrum and make it blow up.

Posted by Lex At the 1C Explosives, As I remember, Counter-Strike Source isn't required to make oil drums. The explosive oil drums are found in Half-Life 2, not in Counter-Strike, well except for in a few custom maps.

Oh, I thought it was in CSS. Updated thanks :D

Posted by Lex At the 2A Misc Custom Content, I'd rather recommend you using the SVN Wire and SVN PHX instead of getting it outdated from garrysmod.org

    Thanks updated ^.^

Posted by _moving_target_ I won't assess since you are not done but I will say that the parts (e.g. Part1 1A) are too small to read. Just a heads up.

I know I just put it there so people can CTRL+F it
