I never liked the default shotgun: It was tiny, like a toy, the left hand didn't even touch the pump right. Since the default model is basically supposed to be a Remington 780 Wingmaster, I tried to re-create a high quality one for L4D.

Features:

  • Choose out of wooden or synthetic grip textures
  • High Quality Normal Maps and Phong Shading
  • LOD world models
  • New shooting sound

Attention:

  • Before replacing any default L4D content, make backups!
  • This replacement only works in single player or on non-dedicated servers!
  • Before joining a dedicated server, restore the original weapon script file!

    What if I just want to use it like a skin, I dont want a other sound, I just want the skin like with everything else, there's no guide for that to turn a total rework into a reskin.

    Any chance, somebody re-works this 'lil sweetheart ? It's now possible to make it working online but I'm waaay to stupid to manage it.

    Is it possible to make this work in L4D2? I've tried it and the model work, but I have no arms, reload animations and sound.

    I love this skin/model and played L4D only with this weapon, because of this I want to play L4D2 with this too.

    I tried your tutorial but I believe that I have to haveHalflife2, I can't see buying a game to get a skin to work but it is a good tutorial for those that have HL2. Guess that means that I will never get this skin online, that is to bad cause it is a waste to make a skin that doesn't work on dedicated servers.
