How to Setup Admin FOR linux:

Install MetaMod on your server:

Download:Click Here extract it on you computers and upload the "addons" folder to your left4dead game folder, like this /l4d/left4dead/copyhere

Then create and download this file:Click Here leave the "gamefolder" section empty. Copy your "metamod.vdf" inside the "addons" folder example: /l4d/left4dead/addons/metamod.vdf

Next install SourceMod: download:Click Here
extract it on your computer and upload to you left4dead folder. Check files: ( Inside the addon folder you should have "metamod" and "sourcemod" folder) ( inside your "metamod" folder you should have a file called "sourcemod.vdf") ( you should have a "sourcemod" folder inside the "cfg" folder in left4dead)

To give yourself admin privilages you need to edit this file:

/l4d/left4dead/addons/sourcemod/configs/admins_sim ple.ini

or use

/l4d/left4dead/addons/sourcemod/configs/admins.cfg

How to give Admin: Go to : /l4d/left4dead/addons/sourcemod/configs/admins.cfg or where ever your Admins.cfg is. Then Right-Click>Edit Then this is an Example:

Admins { "Name" { "auth" "steam" "identity" "STEAM_Your-Steam ID" "flags" "abcdef" "immunity" "99"

} Now Save and Restart the Server and Now I will Explain Flags.

Flags:

"Reserved slots" "a" //Reserved slots "generic" "b" //Generic admin, required for admins "kick" "c" //Kick other players "ban" "d" //Banning other players "unban" "e" //Removing bans "slay" "f" //Slaying other players "changemap" "g" //Changing the map "cvars" "h" //Changing cvars "config" "i" //Changing configs "chat" "j" //Special chat privileges "vote" "k" //Voting "password" "l" //Password the server "rcon" "m" //Remote console "cheats" "n" //Change sv_cheats and related commands

"Root" "z" // Grants all permissions and is able to target anyone regardless of immunity.

After eveything is setup correctly, RESTART YOUR SERVER. It should start automatically after restart. to check: join your game server and type in console. sm_admin you should see the admin menu popup
