Well, I would just like to know what exactly you mean by editing guns. Does that mean gun skins?? or gun models?? Because there is a big difference between the two. And currently we really need a modeller.

Try just installing the lastest patch, if that doesnt work re-install bf2142 and the latest patch and that should work just fine.

Okay, have you tried re-starting your computer? Have you tried leaving your computer for a while? Something may have over-heated and may not run for a while.
