Make sure the LOD works, for me it tended to not work unless I import and export that LOD's reference. Alternatively remove the LOD declaration in the QC but it will cause performance loss.

Well, so I snooped around a bit and didn't have any issues at all in the end. At first I had some rotation errors but those were fixed. I used the latest version of StudioCompiler's decompiler to decompile it, I was still required to change the IDST thing though. (You have to manually create the folders if it gives errors, maybe try running in admin mode, that might fix that.) Make sure that "Don't fix rotations on animations" is ticked off, so it does fix them. After decompile remove the dmx part from the SMD file names and in the QC. (Don't forget it with the LOD replace, I had that. Also remove .smd in the end everywhere in the qc, it can confuse the compiler.) I used wunderboy's latest importers and exporters for Max 2012 and it just worked like regular. Well no, it worked better than before, had no rotation errors to fix because the idle animation didn't fuck up with the newer decompiler.

    My QC.

I'd try it again since I don't bump into the same problem, I can't really tell what's wrong. :C
