Jungle payload map

This is a map requested by some of my TF2 nutty friends. It's based off Badlands with a Jungle theme complete with custom textures, models and soundscape. Single Payload stage with 4 checkpoints, complete with forward spawn for Red and Blu one-way gates, also gates opened at some of the checkpoints.

    Pretty map with some unique elements. We're running this on our No-Heroes Payload Extreme server right now. One potentially big issue is Red randomly spawns behind the cart when it's on the last point. It makes it very hard for Blu to finish off the round.

    This map looks beautiful, I like the theme you gave the map and the color of the water is very appealing. I'm only judging by the photos, but I really like everything I see. This map has potential, keep at it.

    Also, never mind the comments from people who refuse to play a map just because they don't care about a particular name the map was given.

    If a cure for aids was found and the vaccine had some crazy ass name to it would you still refuse the injection then? These people are fouls and are not even worthy of reviewing a map when they have never used hammer and have no idea how much dedication making these maps can take.

    Pros: Very good looking, with a lot of detailing. Jungle theme is implemented very well. Has a great deal of potential. Love the use of the "Dirty Bomb" cart from hoodoo. Custom setup gates are a nice touch too. Skybox looks great.

    Cons: Extremely derivative of the layout from badlands, and it shows. There is a gameplay issue with the cart, where it provides ammo to team members pushing it, but no health, which is not typical. Track passes through areas that in the map this was derived from that has doors that open when a player passes through them, but not when the cart passes through, which looks very wrong. Also, payload maps shouldn't be this symetrical, you basically are pushing the cart through the same area twice, and frankly, it's boring. Also, there are some minor texture issues with the setup doors overlapping the hazard striping.

    Improvements: Diversify the map a bit more, by changing up the path after the middle point. Fix the cart not giving health. Remove the doors across the track, or find a way to make them open when the cart passes so that it doesn't move by osmosis when rolling back. If you don't want to change the layout, consider making it a Push PL map instead, like this: http://www.fpsbanana.com/maps/78364

    Otherwise, consider how Badwater is laid out, and use that as a guide to what kind of changes might make this a better map.

    Notes: What I expected from the screenshots and what I got were very different. I expected that you had used badlands as a frame of reference for a new map. As it stands, this is plbadlandsjungle. Not bad, but not as impressive as I had hoped.

    As a tip for future maps, you may not want to name them after infectious diseases. Sorry if you were planning a Hollywood themed map called "Hepatitis" or something. :P

    Pros: Looks really great! Played it for 10 mins and we really liked it, nice edit of Badlands!

    Improvements: Maybe you could make some sounds of birds or other animals, because it's a jungle :)
