This is B3 of PUJinxed. I've renamed this to CTFJINXED to not confuse people as much.

This is a mid-sized map with 1 flag in the center. You score points by bringing the flag into the enemy capture zone.

Beta 3 includes the following features: -Flag indicators! Now you will have the proper flag direction indicators to let you know where the flag is located -Fixed issues with the text messages when picking up the flag -Added more instructions to help new players -Added 2 new cameras to the basement -Fixed some graphical glitches -Improved the skybox -Some new optimization -Fixed missing health/ammo in blue base

Thanks to everyone at tf2maps.net and everyone who tried B2

You should really do something about snipers who camp at their spawn.

Pros: Unique design, gameplay is fast and fun. Cons: Level design is a big chaotic internally, more signs directing to the capture points would help some of the newbies get by a bit better. Improvements: Suggestion in the Cons Notes: Overall fantastic map, even if the cons were not fixed it is among the cream of the crop.

The arrows point you to your enemies base because that's where you capture it. Just like it says on here. When you enter the game and when you pick up the flag.

I put this on my map server and the arrows were the wrong way round, you grab the intel but the arrows tell you your base is the enemies base, you take it back to your capture point and it wont recognise you have it and you cant get in the enemies - switched maps shortly after

Yeah... I'm not thrilled with the large file sizes either. I think splat looks great - but it's WAY too big to add to rotation. The large maps kill bandwidth for people who have the fast download on their servers and that can get costly.

As for making it fb - EWE - heck no!!!! Maybe ctf isn't right for it. I mean, what is that tc abbreviation before hydro supposed to mean anyway? But I don't know that pu is a good prefix either. I'd much rather see Valve release maps with this game style - but I don't know that they'd call them something other than CTF. In my opinion it's CTF (intel) or CP (control point) or not worth downloading (pretty much everything in the ? area of the TF2 maps).

Posted by Rothgar I wasn't talking about the download size off fpsbanana, the bzip2 compresses to about 14MB.

Oh I know it just made me notice that my compression wasn't very good and I could put a smaller file up here.

As for the uncompressed map size there's really not much to say. This is the way maps are going. Looking at my map folder Stronghold, crazedacre, castle, splat, are all larger than this map. The valve maps themselves are 50+ mb. While I'm not saying my filesize is perfect for the map or anything people are just gonna have to get used to custom maps getting bigger.
