Midium sized linear map with a simple layout good for fun direct gameplay.

Hello everyone This map is the second beta release of cp_ravine, all things being equal this should be the last release before the final version

Things added: - Sewers going from the middle area into each base - Extra exit from spawn - Walls and doors in each bases wall to block sniper view - New textures/lighting/decals/props - 3dSkybox - Roof over blu last cap - More cover over middle cap - Health packs etc - More detail throughout

Known bugs: - Error loading default cubmaps which causes dodgy reflections - Brush not lining up outside red spawn - Sprites too high outside blu spawn - No way of knowing if water has risen after shooting valve

NB/ Look closely at screenshot 6, if you shoot the valve in the sewers the water rises allowing players to swim into opposing forces base. fun for spys :P

Hope you enjoy playing the map, any feedback is really appreciated and if you do try it please also assess. I dont mind constructive feedback so dont be afraid to rate low if you dislike the map aslong as you give constructive feedback.

Thanks to all those people who gave feedback from b1 and those who downloaded, hopefully this one will be even better.

    for a map with a moving water volume it is impossible to use "expensive" water (water that reflects) as outlined on the Valve Dev. Community

    You could fix the not-knowing-water-go-up problem by adding a sound that gets triggered by it or a message.

    I'm still not sure how the valve works... if that gets fixed and you add something to display water level, then awesome.

    Pros: I think this map looks absolutely amazing - except for the water. Nice layout - well thought out. Cons: Your water looks like crap. Not sure what the deal is but with the smaller water areas (like the pipes) - it looks really horrible. The texture is .... more blue and less water-y. At first I thought maybe I was going to fall outside of the map - that's how much it doesn't look like water. The only other real issue with this map is the lack of forward spawn areas. It was be really easy to throw a spawn area in the water or next to the gates on the side by the 2nd and 4th points. Improvements: Fix the water texture being less water like (2fort water - or well water - would be perfect). Add some forward spawn areas for once the third and fourth points are captured. Notes: Looks amazing. Looking forward to the next release. Please msg me on here to let me know when you've got a new build out.

    Improvements: You should make the countryside in a skybox, instead having it in the map itself. Notes: Well designed map, nice brushwork+lighting. Can be much fun in multiplayer, defenitely worth the 8.5 or higher. Keep it up.

    Downloaded and tested. This is a good map: original, nice look, ...

    But there are a lot of little mistakes on it (props not well placed or with the wrong , if you want I could take screeshot and show you what I found.

    Very nice map! I'm glad I've tested it. :) The gameplay should be very interesting and the overall detail is nice. There are still some small mistakes, but this is an excellent beta nonetheless. GJ!
