Dustbowl with a payload

Pldustbowlb4 Readme

To install unzip file and place it into your folder named Steam\SteamApps\username\team fortress 2\tf\maps

Please keep in mind this is still a beta there may be a few unresolved problems

pldustbowl started as a joke, to prove my point that goldrush is dustbowl v2. but seeing as everyone loves it and its a blast to play. i thought everyone else would like to play it. if you like this map please check out cpdock2 as well as some maps for portal that i have made.

I will not take any credit for pldustbowl, valve software should get all the credit for this map. I have and never will consider pldustbowl one of my maps.

    Just wanted to point out that, and I may be wrong as I only have the fortress forever map to go on, that the original idea was to deliver a flag from point to point. PL is really just this idea on a more linear track.

    Pros: You took a valve map and changed it slightly instead of just keeping it exactly the same. Cons: Dustbowl shouldn't be a payload map. Valve didn't make a pl_dustbowl for a reason. Balance is complete crap, I have noticed that Blue always wins if both teams are remotely skilled enough, and this is because of the numerous side passages that blue can take compared to that in goldrush. Also, low design and detail for it is MOSTLY not your work. Balance needs a lot of work. Improvements: Final Stage: Between capture points; fix the place where a ramp used to be that went down into the lower area, and make is so that all red classes can use it again. Otherwise, blue just keeps pushing(with the help of a moving shield/dispenser) and red can't push back enough because Blue can flank and red can't. This, coupled with shorter respawn for Blue and the ability to win at any time is terrible for balance.

    This is an amazing conversion of Dustbowl. It's been really obvious through the versions that you spent a lot of time balancing it out. Valve should seriously include this in the next update.

    Pros: It's amazing how well dustbowl fits for Payload with only some very small changes. Rather well balanced and fun.

    Cons: However fun it may be, it's not very original or creative, most of the map is pretty much the same compared to the original.
