UPDATED: A Pyro Air Blast Duel Map.

NOTE: Some admin mods may block the map from running the "join_class pyro" for players who have admin status on the server, so you may need to configure your admin mod to allow this, however players without admin rights will not get this problem. The map should work without any problems on servers without this particular admin mod. Servers running admin mods may also have to manually disable critical weapon hits if the map is unable to run the server command.

UPDATE (06/21/08): Added entities that force pyro class and restrict death to falling only, now you can play it without plug-ins or admins!


Here's a new map I whipped up, it's a map for use ONLY with Pyros and ONLY with the Air Blast altfire function of the flamethrower, try to push your enemies into the deadly acid at the bottom of the pit.

I don't know how well this map type will work so if people like it I'll fix it up later with better graphics and make any necessary tweaks to the layout.

Play nice and please only use the pyro/airblast. :)

    We play this on my server once in a while. Gets old after about 4-5 minutes but still its fun.

    I tried that and I'm pretty sure the Pyro update made it so when you do that and try to change classes/switch weapons hl2.exe crashes

    By "needing several of those" I meant outputs, not individual trigger_multiples.

    Create a trigger_multiple in spawn -

    Outputs: OnTrigger > tfweapon|weapon name| > Kill

    You'll need several of those, one for each of the pyro weapons.

    I havent looked at the map yet, but have you tried using filterdamagetype and filteractivatorclass?

    Maybe you could make it teleport all other classes to a small box or something.

    Ah, I see it, shame it only forces you to play one class, instead of limiting others. I suppose if I created multiple of them, one for every class I still wanted people to be able to choose, I could create several exits and exclude the class's I want people to avoid.

    You could decompile the .bsp to see how I did it, and then you could just copy the entity work.
