Pro Bball Final Version 1.0

Gameplay: A map for demomen and soldiers where the goal is to bring the intelligence to your opponent's net. The way it's meant to be played: soldiers only use their rockets and demomen use stickies only to jump. If you've played bball2, you know how this plays out. This map was obviously influenced by ctf_bball2, which is a great map, but I felt I could improve upon it.

Differences from ctf_bball2: - New environment - You can no longer backboard (rockets disappear into the backboard, and nades/pipes go through) - Stickies bounce off of the rim of the net and the pole on the back - You can no longer spam for the few seconds that players are frozen before the match begins

Thanks to everyone that helped test it out in its beta stage. This includes (but not necessarily limited to) the whole illness/#1000 crew, and vis/lightning bolt. And an EXTRA special thanks to Nekkris/Flash Jordan!

Great map, overall much better looking then bball2. One thing I would say could be improved, limit the class's to soldier/demo (can easily be done in the map) as well as disable crits (also easy to do). These kind of settings will give it a more standard rule set, thus making the overall map better.

This is the best version of any bball maps. I love the new improvements. 10/10 Improvements: Fix the walljumping abuse, please.

I think that the hoops need to be bigger. It's extremely hard to land on them...you always just slip off, or something stupid that really shouldn't have happened if you made it that far.

I appreciate all the feedback guys. I'm going to make a new version that will somehow make wall jumping not as easy so it doesn't ruin the map.

The update will take a week or so however, I'm quite busy at the moment.

    Nice and golden brown!

This map is visually stunning. Much better than BBall2.

I only have one suggestion. In BBall2, it takes a good deal of skill to be able to wall rocket jump, since the fence's height is limited. By running the full walls, this maneuver becomes trivial. Could you make it so the accent stripe that runs around the facility signifies the top of the fence and rockets that hit above that disappear or clip through the wall?

This is the only thing keeping us from turning our server from 24/7 BBall2 to 24/7 Pro_BBall.

Way cool map. The fact that you have to actually put the intelligence in the net is very clever! I hope servers append this map soon so that i can play on it. I think what i like most is that it keeps the TF2 map style, although the walls look a bit bare. Take a look at This tutorial to see what i mean (most of the way down, #6: Details). A perfect example is in this image here: (Click to enlarge) An improvement in my opinion would be to have more obvious decals for which team is on which side. maybe a blue/red decal on the backboard of the net itself. Also is there a limit to 6 players by the amount of spawn entities? or is that just suggested? because more people could be really fun. Overall, really really great work!

Amazing, truely amazing. You have a lot of talent dont let anyone tell you that you don't. It looks like a photo of a real court. Huge amount of detail in this one. Fantastic job!
