A Long and winded payload map and a struggle for power over the region.

sry for the long delay, was pretty busy

FIXES: * once again framerates via func_occluder * added final fx-explosion by jive turkey * added 3d-eagle-prop by Nik replaced eagle-texture * readjusted vault-explosion-sound by Tomster * slightly reduced respawntime for red to defend cp3&4 * changed ammopack at cp3 to a full-ammo-pack * changed some visuals at construction site * slight visual changes on building 03 * tons of minor visual bugs corrected * big crate near cp4 is now accessable without having to duckjump, just walk in * added ammo-pack there to support defensive structures at that point

    Cons:

    • Spammy and claustrophobic for way too much of the map.
    • Lots of side routes and rooms that seem to be worthless for pretty much anything

    Improvements:

    • Delete everything but the open areas, start with those, and turn them into a 5cp map

    With the new updates (A.Christmas) the area in front of blue base has weird HDR problems.

    It would darken and lighten almost randomly. Could be a problem on the server end, but I certainly wasn't the only one to suffer this.

    There is a minor glitch in the first area, where the blu spawn.

    If you're facing the spawn, on the right is a sentry spot and planks. If you jump on the planks and then jump again, you will see what is behind the short wall - http://img262.imageshack.us/img262/7113/plcashworksrc20000.jpg

    There is no road behind the truck, only dark surface. You could extend the road a little so it would look more natural.

    Great map, practically near-perfect. a couple problems though:

    the first door on red team sometimes doesn't show animation for opening when it really already has.

    minor clipping issues at building at bottom of winding path

    and a very minor complaint: spray's on the slanted wall at the top of the winding path are upside down

    but seriously, great job on this map!!

    I am well aware of the fps problem, i had to sacrifice some frames to publish the quickfix this will be strongly addressed in the next release

    i will not implement stairs leading up into the building, there were stairs in a2/a3, and blu could not advance because they were repeatedly crushed by red from behind as it is, i see red holding the zig-zag way pretty well in many cases

    I have always liked this map, but I have two complaints/problems with the latest release (and several previous releases for one of the comments).

    1. I would really like to have at least one set of the stairs that let red get behind blu (back up at the top of the hill) back. As it is right now, blu can get well behind red (with engineers setting up sgs behind red's forward spawn without ever even being seen until red's respawn gets pushed back, but only red scouts, soldiers and demomen have the ability to get behind blu once they cap the point at the bottom of the hill and push red back (or even before capping then point when most of the fighting is happening on the hill).

    2. The new version REALLY needs to be optimized. Those of us with "less than cutting edge" systems are really hit hard with the newest version. The map was always a little on the heavy side, but I literally get 14fps or less in some areas of the map now.

    1st item is obviously optional and a gameplay/designer decision, and just my own personal preference, but I really hope the map gets optimized. I love the map, and enjoy playing it, but as it stands with the newest release I may as well leave the server when it comes up now because of how bad my fps gets.

    That's the only reason my assessment score is lower than it otherwise would be.
