My version of a Orange map (I made it from scratch). all classes should have areas that they can do well.
To start, I took the Orange map idea, and made it into my version (NOTE: I made it from scratch). It has the same idea as the popular Orange maps have; 5 cap points, with a large tower in the middle. Here are my changes:
- There are more walls around the map, to help keep the sniping class at having a huge advantage (there are still areas like the tower where you can see the whole map)
*You can get back to the Main team spawn room. At the middle (you can see on one of the pictures) any team can go up a ramp then enter to the spawn room. YOU CAN ONLY ENTER, NOT EXIT. This will help so we don’t have people getting to cap points too quickly.
*The 2nd BLU and RED caps are in a small building (to limit sniping). Both have 2 floors, and you can cap on either floor
*The middle cap point is not at the top of the tower, but at the bottom (you enter at the top or the 2nd entry one floor below). The reason for this is to not just make it so snipers won’t be as protected, but give it different twist to the original orange maps. Another reason is because then engineers won’t have to worry about demoman shooting random grenades.
*There is new spawn points if you get 2nd to last cap point. One area is in the back corner of the map, and the second area is right behind the tower. This is so that different parts of the map will be used, and will be, technically, a bit further from the last cap point making it harder to get.
*You can not build in the MAIN spawn rooms (and the other team can not ENTER the MAIN spawn rooms); but the spawn area in the back of the tower, you can build tele's or what ever you think you will need in the spawn room. Since both teams use that spawn room (if they have the second to last cap point), that means that they can get into that spawn room. But they can ONLY get into that spawn room; if a teammate opens the door (you can only exit the spawn room). IF they do get in don’t worry, SPAWNCAMPING IS SOMTHING I REALLY TRY MY BEST TO MAKE DIFFICULT TO DO. This is what I did, there are 3 other areas you can spawn other then the one in the back of the tower. There is the one in the corner of the map, a secret drop point in the middle of the map, and the Main spawn room. You have a 1/3 chance of getting those OTHER spawn points, and 2/3 getting the one at the back of the tower. (Remember that this spawn points will only occur if the winning team has got the 2nd to last cap.
*The last cap points for both teams is DIRRECTLY under the MIAN spawn area, also there is a door exit that drops right next to the final cap. Another reason is again if there is spawn camping; having several exits will make camping more difficult.
*there is a 3d skybox, just a basic one to make it seem more realistic, and looks better.
As for a v2 of this map, not really sure at this time, there is really not much more i can do.

I have been making maps for several years (for multiple source games), but I wanted to try out making a simple CP for TF2 (in my opinion is the hardest source multiplayer game to make a map for) with all the game logic you have to add (but can give you more flexibility in making your map unique). I enjoyed making this map and plan now to make another map, but will look more like a valve map.
