Hot Tug-O-War Action!

5CP Tug-o-War Payload - Release 2.0 Waste is a new game mode in which the payload can be pushed by either team. It plays similarly to other 5-point Control Point maps, such as Well, except that it places a stronger emphasis on teamwork to push the cart and coordination to flank the enemy. These alternate routes, although longer, usually provide health and ammo pickups not normally present on the main payload track.

Although the map has already reached a completed state, comments and questions are still welcome!

Waste is currently part of the (^) Custom Rotation 208.115.116.51:27016

WASTE PRESENTS: PAYLOAD CART - By Z33W13R & Nova Silisko

Objective: Escort the payload to the enemy base. Stand near the payload to make it move.

Other Notes: Both teams can push the cart. The cart cannot be pushed while locked.

INSTALLATION: Unpack the contents of the .rar into your tf directory. Keeping the folder system intact will allow you to see the intro movie and thumbnail in the Map List.

    RELEASE NOTES FOR V2: Changes have been made in an effort to improve the game flow around CP2 -The cart is locked and cannot be pushed for the first 15 seconds after setup ends -Item pickups have been modified to better provide thier benefits where they are needed -Faster spawn times for attacking teams -Toned down volume for factory sounds -Geometry changes in area in front of base entrances -Added staircase near CP2 for direct access to the upper level -Widened major chokepoint that leads into the CP2 area -Moved CP2 closer to defending team -Added cover for defending teams near final CP upper level -Several optimization changes and bug fixes

    Would it be possible to get a version of this with just an overall timer of like 20-30 mins and not the 5 minutes added per cap as it is currently?

    We playtested this but it tends to just never end and get voted off when the teams are really even so it would be nice if after 20-30 minutes we could have it go to stalemate or sudden death (without having to use mp_timelimit which would switch the map after the timelimit was reach, the server we want to add it to runs maps on a really long time limit).

    Been running this map for 2 weeks now, really popular. Some feedback is the cart moves too fast especially near the end cap. Thats about it for cons from us.

    Awesome job, beauifull, extremely fun, Im guessing valve may pick this one up or at least the gameplay style.

    Great map, alot of improvements.

    I like the kart a lot for some reason it just doesn't look like it goes with your map or tf2 very much but maybe that's just me. i think its because its not cartoon or animated its more serious and life like bomb if you no what i mean.

    Its not bad and i love it and you are one of the few people to make a custom kart and i applaud that, so don't think its bad.

    Good job cant wait to play waste b4 more

    I think you're just forgetting what the TF2 theme really is.

    No it just...it looks like something from the future, instead of from an industrially advanced past.
