Visuals

  • Fixed a few texture problems
  • Fixed a few visual inconsistencies between both sides

Gameplay

  • Moved opening spawn doors closer to spawn
  • Extended right-side exit to prevent easy spawn-camping
  • Added metal mesh along railings to prevent easy sentry spawn-camping
  • Fixed spawn door trigger logic so they don't close when two or more players try to use the doors at once
  • Added medium ammopack in the center of the lower sides

    It's labeled as RC3 because I don't want to end up naming it 'final' then decide that I want to make some modifications and naming it something silly like v2.

    Only thing that could make th is better at this point is an update for the official KOTH mode :D

    Also, I have been curious: why is it "RC 3" if it's "final"?

    The downloaded file is a zip which when upzipped contains a file called kothlighthouserc3 with no extention. This is really kothlighthouserc3.zip again. This file has been zipped 2 times..

    I think it's fair to say that this map plays best with 12 players (6 v 6). =)

    Pros: Well thought out layout of the map. Great area's for battles with all classes. Lighthouse is well positioned, not too easy to defend which promotes a more free game instead of a camp fest. Details well done and sea side sounds are a great addition to the map. Cons: The map is a bit pyro friendly. I am not sure how it could be changed though. Spawn door doesn't open if it closes after a player gets out. So if you run behind a team m8 and the door closes before you get there it doesn't open again for you. You need to go back before it opens :( Improvements: Fix the spawn doors. Notes: Love the KOTH game mode. Should definitely be added to TF2 as an official game mode.
