Cp_rivers_edge is a symmetrical 5-Capture point map. It features a racing river that will sweep you down to your death. Once the middle point is taken, the takers team spawn is moved up.

Cpriversedge combines closed spaces and open spaces in order to balance the gameplay.

Do not jump in the river, the water will sweep you down river until you hit rocks at it's mouth, therfore dying. There is a way out of the river right in front of the rocks, in the form of ramps and small bridges. Aim for the ramps when being swept down the river.

The ocean is deadly, do NOT jump in or you will die, there are signs in the map to remind you.

----~What's New?~----

  • Further Increased Performance by setting a fadeout distance for all static props.
  • Lowered the Triggerhurt and Triggerpush so you must be deeper in the water to get hurt or pushed.
  • Added an addition to the secondary points/stables, to prevent snipers from having an advantage at the middle point.
  • Increased Fog Density by a bit.

----~What isn't sure is fixed..~----

  • There were some people who reported of server crashes on their servers, not a problem for all servers... Please comment if you are still experience server crashes due to the map.

    Any chance for an update on this?

    Players find the high 25+ second spawn times frustrating.

    Also, the cap times are too high to allow a team to win within a reasonable time.

    And the layout of the 2nd/4th point is a bit confusing - you actually go past the place where you turn to get to the middle point. A revised layout here would be nice.

    If you don't have the time/motivation, I would be happy to make these updates and do a release - I think this map would be worth it.

    EDIT: Yeah, this does crash our linux dedicated server. Hmmmm...

    Ok i finally got around and added your map to the necrophix server and will play test, then review.
