A reclamation facility in the mountains

My submission for the realistic mapping contest. This is my first complete map. It features many custom models and textures. It is the Reclamation Environmental Development (RED)facility for sewage, based in the mountains. Features lots of detail.

You used great brushwork and textures that both fit the map and yet aren't all custom (reducing download size, obviously.)     Ok let me "assess" your assessment. First off, i had no idea the textures weren't working for you, they've worked for everyone else. i'll try to see what your problem might be. Second, you keep complaining about how it is "not finished." By that do you mean there is no blue side? Specifically in the official contest page it states "symmetry is a negative factor" and "the map doesn't have to be playable." And i guess that main station is your opinion (which you are entitled to) but please change your assessment accordingly.

    Pros: . I don't have TF2 installed so I can't get to try it ingame, so I'll just make an assess by the screens.

    Starting off on the first screen (top), Very detailed and well made props. The water looks good, and fits in. Looks like an good spawn area with good detail. Skybox looks good, and the mountains around makes it a bit more "filled", and not just a big wall.

    Lets move over to the second screenshot, The concept of the Red intel area looks really cool, water flowing in the middle and stairs on each side of the intel. Looks like its been taken care of with detail and props, everything. Love the whole concept of the room.

    Third Screen, Looks like a very detailed room, looks great, love the concept and detail you've added here. Looks like you've taken your time on the maps detail and looks. I guess the sewer pipe is one of the entrences to this "room", a great + for some fun ;)

    Fourth Screen, Looks like the spawn area, just a simple spawn with some detail.. but the chains are cool (+) ;) .. I guess you've to make the spawn a bit detailed aswell.

    Fifth screen is just the pipe, but it looks good and detailed.

    Cons: The cons on the first screen is the down right on the screen, textures look horrible.. but I guess no players gonna get to see over the wall anyways.

    No more cons actually....

    Improvements: This is a great map, looks like you've spent allot of time on detail and looks of this map, after all its the realistic map contest ;)

    Looks good by the screens, too bad I can't get to see the map ingame ...

    Notes: Overll great map, with weight on detail and looks. Great concept and love the props you've added inside and all.

    Rating:

    Detail: 9,5 looks rather awesome, looks like you've got some "weight" on details and looks. The map looks like it could'ave been an Valve map.

    Realism: Looks just like an ordinary facillity, great detail as I said before. Looks great!

    Looks: Great detail, keep it up!

    Overall: 9.7!!
