A Payload Race (PLR) version of Lumberyard. This is the first beta (b1) of the map, and should be feature-complete. Please keep an eye out for future betas, and then Release Candidates (rc1 etc).

This is the first beta of plr_lumberyard.

The server was "The Brothel House of Denny Crane". Currently it's at 8.2.120.154:27015 , and the map is on the 'nominate' and rtv list. So go check it out!

    Hey, thanks a lot for the feedback. As it happens, I too have seen that bug. I'm still trying to figure out precisely where the problem lies; but I've got some more experience of PLR mode now so I may go back and have a fiddle around with it in Hammer some more, some time soon.

    When I know how to fix that, I'll release a new version of lumberyard (b2), tweaked with health, ammo, slightly longer spawn times, a better 'big door', and that bug fixed.

    Umm..just played this on Axl's TF2 server, and an odd bug occured. BLU team had gotten their cart to just before the final point, but RED managed to get their first. But the round didn't end. Everything got stuck. Both carts rolled back to the previous point, but RED cart couldn't be moved forward, while BLU's could but couldn't cap the final point.

    Wish I had gotten a demo of it.

    Pros: Great gameplay, fast, last cap is a nail bitter when it's close Cons: Ugly middle wall =D Notes: This is my kind of map. Fast, furious and small with a goal. I have it currently set as our PLR Map Of The Week at Axl's TF2.

    Thanks, cbale: yeah, the wall isn't exactly the prettiest thing ever (although the inlaid windows are neat). I'll probably do some detail work on that at some stage. But it serves a useful purpose in providing mess-free setup time.

    Neat concept, I can't say as I know of anyone trying to make lumberyard into a Payload map (probably due to its size), definitely a different spin on things.

    The massive wall in the middle is... interesting. Perhaps an alternative means to separate the teams prior to match start could be used?

    Can't wait to see future releases of this.
