Some higher resolution variants for the revolver

Revolver Extravaganza

by 90SK

Description: Higher resolution, different variants of the revolver (six of them).

Install instructions: Open up C:\Program Files\Steam folder... then, "steamapps", then "(whatever your steam account name is)", then "team fortress 2". Copy the "materials" folder from whichever folder you want (as in, the black -> ivory folder or whatever) into the "tf" folder. Be sure to say yes when it asks you about overriding stuff.

Uninstall instructions: Go to "C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps(your steam account)\team fortress 2\tf\materials\models\weapons\vrevolver" folder and delete all the files inside. Also delete the file "bucketrevolver" from "C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps(your steam account)\team fortress 2\tf\materials\sprites".

Credit: thanks to Valve for making the original and providing the base for the vmts that I used.

Same deal as my other mods with the recycling of the TF2 textures for the primary metal. I used photosourced textuers for the wood and ivory.

I've been wanting to do a revolver pack for a while, mostly because it seems logical to do one after I've done other skins so similar to this one. The skins I've made are fairly straightforward, almost to a fault in that they adhere very much to the original style of the revolver. I prefer the black variants, but the silver ones are available too so whichever you want to use is fine. They all come with the usual features (V/W skins, bucket image, etc.)

Enjoy the skins! :)

(another note: I WILL be doing a second version of this skin, along with all my TF2 skins, so be specific with your critiques!)

Would be nice if you add the Crit-Glow-Effect. I like it very much already.

Well i went with the wood grip, looked very good and guess what happened ! I had the snub nose which makes the revolver short! + a custom silent sound from another skin! and it turned out to be freaking awesome! it was a snub nose version of the wood with silent sounds!

Posted by crustybread The only reason i am marking you down is because ivory should be smooth in my opinion. It's not usually bumpy
Posted by sHiBaN Your ivory grip looks wrong. Most ivory grips are beige with a yellowish tint to it. They are mostly smooth and shiny too.
that's legit. I really don't know anything about ivory, I just wanted it to look more detailed than the original plain white so I chose an arbitrary texture that looked like it might be ivory-ish... if it doesn't look realistic, my apologies.

Ivory can be bumpy and textured but it just looks nicer smooth :D

First of all id like to say that these are very nice skins and they work very well. Again im going to start with the bad things , the black metal revolver is too black , you dont notice any detail on it and thats the same with the metal grip (black) however the ivory grip is quite good and the wood grip is the best ive seen the grain is done perfectly. The silver metal revolover is more greyish to me and isnt very ''spy-ee'' it should be solid silver or chrome with the same kind of shadowing . the light wood grip looks very luminous to me and combined with the silver metal revolver you have that grey strip going down the back of the handle which has no detail on it. but yet again its still a very good skin but it could be a lot better . Very good skin, could be better. Thanks for the skin. Stu
