Nerf Sniper Rifle replacement for TF2
"Nerf Sniper" by ATF_BooGiTyBoY Replacement shot/reload sounds from a Nerf Longshot Sniper Rifle.
Unzip the file into your team fortress 2 folder.
Default path is usually: c:/Program files > steam > steamapps > your account name > team fortress 2
This was made by request for ATF_Godspeed to match the nerf pistol I made him.

Pros: its a nerf gun that looks great with the style of TF2 Cons: Colors a a tiny bit faded but not to bad Improvements: maybe brightening the colors about but thats all i can think of Notes: you should make an entire pack, or atleast one for the rocket launcher and shotgun
Pros: The inclusion of the nerf sounds is probably the best decision with this, it really sells the design! Cons: The colors do look faded in-game, compared to how bright & shiny their real-world counterparts are. Improvements: Improving the color is all I can think of, everything else seems spot-on. Notes: normals ftw ;)
Pros: Clever and funny. Excellent use of custom sounds.
Cons: Just a few minor texture nits. See improvements.
Improvements: 1) Hide the wire, as it's out of place on a toy gun.
2) The colors feel a little muted and lack tonal depth. I'd suggest increasing the saturation and contrast to make the gun a bit more vibrant, plus tweaking the phong -- aim for your outdoor screenshots to resemble the Nerf image you provided us.
3) Turn up the plastic effect/scratches a tad. Most of the TF2 weapons are battered -- I think you can keep up the theme by adding a bit more wear on the guns various edges. I see some good wear in places on the VTF, but it feels incomplete.
Notes: Kudos from another member of the "lol, let's give them all toys" club.
Detail: Although the amount of colour detail to the skin looks highly accurate. I think the amount of phong especially on the world model, still makes the skin look more metallic than plastic. I think it might be the fact that the blue is a slightly darker shade, than the really bright primary colour blue shown in the concept screenshot.
Originality: A lot of original concepts and ideas going around in the TF2 section lately, this is definitely one of them. One thing I would suggest though, is using the vmt trick to remove parts of the skin which make it look less like a Nerf gun. For example the wire, and the scope cap.
Sound: Not many people choose to create, or find a custom sound to go along with their reskin. I think the sound also suits the skin quite well. Nice job.
Its not a water gun, its a "Nurf gun", it shoot small darts that dont hurt xD
Lol great idea on the water pistol however i think it would be better fit for the pyro with some fun water skins, but still a great idea (You may have it in the pipelines ;p)

I think the barrel should be orange and not yellow. But I really love it.
Wow this is rather different, it actually looks like a Nerf gun. The amount of detail in it is rather nice. It would be really cool if you modeled it to actually look like the one pictured here, its just weird seeing an example of a Nerf gun and then seeing the one you made and there being such a difference. I have seen your Nerf pistol and something else with Nerf (not as detailed though). The colors are very well done and the yellow and blue work very well together. The sound isnt as great as any of the other aspects of the gun, but still very well done.
