A traditional Scottish hat. Replaces the Ghastly Gibus on demomen.

A traditional Scottish hat, often worn while out getting drunk. Associated with drunk one-eyed pirates ever since a drinking game went horribly wrong. Coincidentally this was also the day pirates were invented.

Currently replaces the Ghastly Gibus for the demoman, as the demo's other hats were pretty cool in my opinion, so I didn't want them to be replaced. Also, I didn't have any of the real demo hats, so I couldn't see it ingame if I didn't do it like this.

Please comment, this is my first 3D model ever! (not counting the failed first attempt at making this hat)

I have submitted it, before I even put it on here, but apparently it hasn't been noticed by valve (or it will come later, I surely hope so :) ).

I never really play as demo, but i got the stove pipe and smelted with pyro's beanie, got the bonnet, smelted that with hatless sniper, got the demo fro. i tried to get rid of the demo hats and got all three in return. WTF

Pros: First hat or no, this is the most appealing skin I've seen in the hats category. It's very fortunate that this hat doesn't need elaborate texturing, and as such, it fits TF2's style very well, as opposed to Daimao's take. The colour scheme is perfect, and the gold rim really completes it. It's so aesthetically pleasing I'm even wearing the Gibus on my Demoman. Cons: It's perfect. Don't mess with it! Improvements: Do submit it on the blog, it's one of the very few hats I've seen that would really contend with Valve's. Just be sure to call it a Tricorne ;)

Model: Pirate-like, which I'm fine with since the eyepatch goes well with it. Originality: Hasn't been one like it. Very original. Personality: The Demoman likes to drink, perfect hat. Texture: Pretty smooth texture, and the team colors are perfect.

I think you'll find a lot of pirates were from Scotland, and that Vikings were actually from Scandinavia/Denmark. Also, yes, the actual hat is a Tricorne (that's how it's spelled), but I didn't mention it was any other kind of model.

    African Americans amuse me.

Its actually called a tri-corner hat. But, lol this is pretty cool. It doesn't really match his Scottish heritage very well, but it still kinda fits. It looks weird when hes got the sword and shield because Vikings + Colonials = ???
