An ancient soundpack that got deleted off here due to file size limitations. Now that those are a thing of the past I'm reuploading the soundpack.

This pack replaces every sound file the soldier uses, and it even has voice data so his lips move nicely with the audio. Contains an extreme amount of profanity.

Extract these to Steam\SteamApps\\team fortress 2\tf.

If you want to uninstall the pack, delete the sounds\vo directory, and the gamesoundsvo.txt file. If you have other mods in that directory, delete each file starting with soldier_ in the sounds/vo directory.

Hmm, I downloaded it through the edit menu and it worked fine, but if I use the mirror I get the gibberish you're describing.

The archive's okay, I've checked, so the workaround is to either paste the link you get from the mirror into a download manager, or just get it directly from my site:

Posted by Lord Kennerson I would recommend making all of the sounds equal volume.

I tried, the problem is that the data that moves the lips gets put in the .wav files themselves somehow by faceposer. If I open the wavs up in an audio editing program later it sees the extra data and thinks it's a file size discrepancy. Saving afterward would probably discard the lip data.

What I did is take the script file containing information about how the game should play these files and edit the volume so it's louder ingame, but the problem with this is that normalizing has to be done individually which is a pain.

The lip sync is excellent. However, some of the sounds are a bit quiet and difficult to hear, especially in the middle of a battle. I would recommend making all of the sounds equal volume.
