Yeh i know but lots of funny stuff was happening and i needed to recored it fast so i dident have time to start fraps

i could recored the the demo in fraps but my fraps is ****** lol and it wont recored sound :(

First type host_framerate 30 inconsole this will cap the fps on 30 no more and no less.

now put your settings all the way up and put the resolution on 1024x768 in windowed mode.

then type this startmovie [moviename] avi in console. Now select your codec and press OK.

EDIT: Now type in playdemo [demoname]

Your PC will lag like hell but this is normal. leave it untill it ends and your will have your .avi. :)

Yes, use the Source Recoder, but I must make something clear: Do not use Fraps, and I will cut off the balls of anyone that recommends it. It defeats the purpose. The whole reason to use a demo is so you are not forced to record in real-time.

i was about to say that. you can use fraps while playing the demo back.

u can use source record, but there is no sound and it takes forever.

That's it. I'm going to cut your balls off. See my above post for the reason. As for no sound with the Source Recorder.... I've never had that problem. But yes, it does take longer; That's a good thing.
