    If it's FLV, converting it BACK to a decent quality is hard. FLV is pretty much the opposite of a lossless codec.

    That's not entirely true. I haven't looked at the specifications yet, but it should be possible to get lossless h.264 into FLV. However, Adobe's playing probably couldn't handle it, but swfdec and Gnash can since they use GStreamer. (If you don't already know, FLV is nothing but a container. It has no effect on the quality.)

    But back on topic, what you're asking is basically impossible. The quality is bad as it is and to retain that, you'd need to raise the bitrate a lot, meaning the filesize would be gigantic.

    edit: See? I was right about the quality. Just look at those frames skip!
