Beginner need a lot help !!!

I'm a beginner, I really like modeling gun, player for game, but i don't know where to start, today i want to ask everyone about it.

I had 3ds max 9, can i use it for modeling map and player (for CS, CSS, CoD 2) ? What is tools i need? If it can't run in 3d max so How make a map and player (for CS or CSS or CoD 2) ? What is tools i need?

    Look in the tools section of css. I am sure you will find something
