Need help! please!

I need help with my computer! Fast!!!!

By Jackass Storm Trooper 4 years ago

So today when I woke up just an hour ago I started up my computer. Everything seemed okay but then........ When windows and all the applications was loading only a few thing where showing. Only one icon in the task bar and then BAM!! the screen went white with black and gray lines going across the screen. So I said loud and clear a sentence I cannot say on here without getting gagged for life. :/

Anyway at first I thought it was something lose inside my computer. That wasn't the problem.

So I thought why not reinstall the drivers. Perhaps safe mode works. Safe mode worked but when I tried to uninstall the drivers the uninstaller crashed. I tried several times to uninstall them but it failed everytime.

So now I thought about perhaps the grahic card was over heated. So I toke a look in the BIOS to see that the temprature is normal. That's odd. So I take this hardware thingamajig that can messure temprature on graphic cards, CPU etc...... I start the computer again after a few minutes of cooling it down and the same thing happens (white screen with black and gray lines over it) so I take a look at the thingamajig and see no difference in the temprature. It's between 49C and 52C as it always have been.

So now I'm all out of ideas probably because I'm panicing.

Computer Specs CPU type: AMD Athlon 64 3400+ 754 socket Motherboard: AsRock K8Upgrade 754 and 939 socket support Motherboard chipset: nVidia nForce3 250 Series System memory: 2048 MB DDR BIOS type: AMI Legal BIOS GFX: NVIDIA BFG GeForce 7600GS OC (512 MB) 3D accelerator: nVIDIA BFG GeForce 7600GS screen: Fujitsu Siemens ScaleoView T17-1 soundcard: Creative SoundBlaster X-FI Extreme Music HDD(s): Maxtor 7Y250M0 (250 GB, 7200 RPM, SATA) WDC WD5000KS 00mnB0 (500GB, 7500RPM, SATA) Western Digital My Book Premium Edition 500GB External HDD optical unit(s): 2 TSSTcorp CD/DVDW Mouse: Logitech G9 Laser Mouse keyboard: Logitech G15 gaming keyboard

Also I haven't overclocked anything. I overclocked my graphic card a few months ago but I put everything back to normal.

also if you see any errors in the text it's the damn wireless HP crapboard and a comnputer wth 65 processes running at the same time. :/

BTW I have a videoof how it looks. So yeah. I think that's everything you neeedo know.

EDIT: I called a teacher on my school and he fixed it somehow. ^_^

Posted by clownfart Try a Linux Live CD and see what happens.

All I have is a Linux Ubuntu CD that I haven't used yet. Would that work or is it a different type of Linux? As you see I don't know anything about Linux more then there's one called Ubuntu and the Linux logo is a penguin(or is it the old logo I'm thinking about). :S

As Far as I know I got into Ubuntu. Now what? Is it a Windows error or something?

So still no one posting anything here? I'm in desperate need of help people! I'm bored, restless, angry, high on caffeine and really annoyed.

I could boot with a Linux thingamajig and I could do stuff like............. play gnometris and ehh........ go out on the interwebz. :/
