Player Reflection

When you look into the mirror...

When you look into the mirror, isn't it better if you could see you as a w_model?

There are no exact mirror, but when you use super reflections you could see the surroundings, except the player (you).

So why the player should be w_model if it's impossible to see yourself?

It's not possible, it's an engine restriction.

It is just impossible for the player to see himself. So do not try anything, everything will be worthless. Believe me, I am a mapper, i know about this.

No, when you make a very reflective skin, you could see SOME of the surroundings but a bit blurry, and you cannot see your own reflection in it.

Final product: Nothing will be reflected. The only "stuff" that is reflect-able is anything coming away from you. For example, blood, explosions, the "fire" when you fire your gun, etc.

Reflections are based on cubemaps which are pre-built images which work as reflection maps. The reflecion is a picture not a realtime image like in the Need for Speed series where you see realtime reflections on cars. An exception is water which can reflect everything but it costs way too much for an average PC to handle.

    No it's not "tr3m3r"
