Your operating system must support only 3gb - windows XP or vista 32 bit?
vista 32bit home premium i think

Windows Vista 32-bit only supports a max of 3.4gb or something. You need to get 64-bit in order to go higher.

Looks like 32 bit only supports 3GB as i suspected.
Its quite sad I know how you feel Lynx considering I have x32 bit also and I have 6 gigs of ram and I can only use 3 ; P thats how microsoft makes their money

and that's why it only shows 3gigs, there is a hack for 32bit to make it support 4 gigs but its iffy

Also running a 32x OS with 4 gigs of ram and reading 3 gigs. Not that it's really an excessively annoying issue....
That stupid...
"Buy a PC with 4Gb ram, but use only 3Gb..."

TURN ON P.A.E. IT WILL SHOW UP
This post contains excessive shouting.
