Oh oh oh, YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH.

Ah well, fuck this. Let's animate instead.

I'm not going to change the origins, they are good, CS:S default origins sucks (who the hell holds a weapon like that anyways? so far out on the side!). And yes, animated idle ftw later.

Update. Ok, as you can see in the second pic I've edited the origins alot. Thanks to brightside who gave me tips, I noticed that these are far better. :)

Update. New positioning (thanks to Brightside)

Update. New positioning (again..)

Update. New positioning (again..) It's STILL not finished.

Update. I believe this is a near final positioning of the gun.

I think the forearm is still a little too horizontal in the idle position. if you look at the angle it's at when a real person is holding the gun, the arm sticks up at roughly a 40 degree angle (one way to look at it is the forearm kinda points down toward the hip i guess). kinda like this i guess. right now it looks like it's maybe pointing near the solar plexus? i dunno. just angle it down some more lol and i think it'll be good :P

    I guess.

The shoot is very boring, add some rotation to the right like a real gun does when shot right handed. It should ideally settle back down slightly rotated and moved right before being pulled back to idle. I recommend doing all your animations at 48 fps. Much more control that way. Also, set all tangents to smooth and master the art of bracketing frames.

Dude wtf, where'd the index finger go

    now it looks worse

also, I have an airsoft AK, and the front hand doesn't look comfortable at all, I'd rotate it so the thumb is higher and the fingers are lower if you know what I mean
